Oh my gosh its hot! But we are lovely and cool in our workroom with the airconditioning on! I have been busy baking red velvet cup cakes and banana cinnamon muffins and they just look delicious, although not as delicious as the lovely fabrics and projects we hav eon display.

Taupe inspirations my new book is being shipped as I write this and I have my fingers crossed it will be here next week in time for Alexandra Palace knit and stitch show.

We have starter sending out the October block of the months and clubs today, Alexandra palace show is very early in October and its either send them early or send them late after we come back, and we thought it better to get them out sooner so you can make a start on the new blocks.

We are back from the Festival of Quilts and putting our feet up for a few days after a very busy show. It was lovely to see everyone and we sold out of lots of things, Favorite Things by Annie Downs was super popular and sold out on Friday, but we have new stock arriving tomorrow. We also have more Pooh Bear and Mouses World which was super popular. Grace quilt which would be suitable for Christmas or year round was very popular too. Not to forget our Taupe and Antique Taupe Strip Rolls (we are not allowed to say Jelly Rolls).

Tonight I have had the final proof through of the book I have been working on. I was asked quite a while ago to write for Kansas City Star Books in America, but with having a baby last year I had to delay things and so its very exciting to see it finally hapen. In a few weeks I will see it with pictures as all the quilts and projects were at a photoshoot in America last week and Donna the editor and I have been working on it as just pages and pages of text so it will be great to see soome pictures very soon.

Today I have finally finished a new Taupe Handbag, and have decided to call it Taupe About Town Bag. Maisie ran off with it, and its almost at her knees, and she looked so cute. But I have it back ready to take it to Festival of Quilts. I have been having a Jelly Roll phase and so Jenny has made lots of Taupe and Antique Taupe Jelly Rolls and this bag can be made entirely from a Jelly roll - but you woudn't look at it and think Jelly Roll at all. |
